Rhythm and movement often appear in Elisha Fields’ paintings, manifesting her personal experience as both artist and musician and also the heritage of generations of visual and performing artists in her family.
While living in the Caribbean Islands for almost 10 years, she created decorative fabrics for boutiques and hotels. She also managed an art supply and framing store in the West Indies, where she discovered acrylic paints and came to love and utilize their versatility and durability.
Ms. Fields works mostly in acrylics but also in dry pastels. She has studied with Chery Baird, Marc Chatov, Nancy Honea, Chris Didomezio, Thomas Key, Gordon Anderson and others.
Elisha's art has shown in national and international juried exhibitions, has won several awards and two of her paintings are published on book covers. Her works are in collections in Miami, New York and Greater Atlanta. Ongoing exhibits include Artists Atelier of Atlanta on Miami Circle in the Buckhead area of Atlanta and Backstreet Gallery in Villa Ricca, Georgia.
